I study the economics behind vulnerable student populations and vulnerable ecosystems. These 2 fields seem disparate in nature, but I've found a great deal of overlap. I've researched the immigration enforcement on the education outcomes of students, publishing in the Journal of Human Resources. Additionally, I've investigated the way that markets can help manage invasive species landing in Environmental and Resource Economics.
My upcoming work looks at the management of natural resources that have differentiated use values -- namely fisheries where commercial, recreational harvest, and recreational catch-and-release anglers intersect.
